What we collect, what we don't, and how long anything stays around. Last updated 2026-05-30.

How videos are processed

Frame extraction runs in your browser using your device's built-in video decoder. The video file itself is not streamed to a remote server during decoding.

Sample retention (10 days)

To monitor quality and reproduce issues, we store the uploaded video file and a small sample of the extracted frames in our backend. These items are automatically deleted after 10 days. We do not associate them with personal identifiers; uploads are namespaced by a per-browser session ID stored in your browser's local storage.

Cookies & analytics

We use a single first-party identifier in local storage to associate uploads with a session for the 10-day retention window. We do not run third-party tracking cookies. If we add anonymous analytics in the future, it will be described here.

Personal data

The tool does not require an account. We don't ask for an email address, payment information, or any personally identifying detail to extract frames. If you contact us via our contact page, we'll only use your email to reply.

Your rights

You can clear your session identifier at any time by clearing site data in your browser; doing so detaches future uploads from any earlier samples. For deletion of specific samples before the 10-day window, get in touch via the contact page with your session ID.
